The Joy of Taking "Littles" to Disney...

Let me start this out by saying that this post is purely opinion.   And to write it, I think you need to understand how I've classified my children throughout their lives. Babies:  infant to around 18 months Toddlers:  18 months to around age 3 Little:  This stage began around the age of 3 and lasted until they went to school.  For one that was 4 months after he turned 5 and for the other it was 9 months after she turned 5. Kids:  Kindergarten until they were formally a tween Tween:  10-12 Teens:  13 - 17 I say this because over the next few posts I'm going to tell you my opinion of taking 4 different ages of my children to Disney.  I never took my kids to Disney when they were babies or toddlers.  For one child I never had the opportunity. For the other I actually chose not to bring her on a weekend trip (though I do have regrets on this now at times, though other times I don't - it's a very conflicting moment in time!) ...

5 Reasons I Love Walt Disney World....

5 Reasons I Love Walt Disney World More than Disneyland Resort If you read my last post you saw the top 5 reasons I prefer to go to the West Coast if given a chance to choose.  Now, let me tell you the top 5 reasons I prefer the East Coast! 5 .  Magic Bands.  The technology in these bands is amazing.  Not only can they be your room key, credit card, and Fast Pass, but they can be used to sprinkle little touches as you are on rides.  I'll never forget the first time we noticed this.  We were riding "it's a Small World" in the Magic Kingdom.  As we were leaving the tunnel, there was a sign that said "Adios..." then it listed all of our names.  At first we thought it strange that our names would be listed there, then kind of weird, then it clicked.  Were they using our Magic Bands?  They were, and we thought it was pretty cool! 4 .  It's bigger!  Yes, I know that my number 4 on my Disneyland list was that it's smaller, but l...

5 Reasons I Love Disneyland Resort...

5 Reasons I Love Disneyland Resort More than Walt Disney World Ok, let me start this off by first saying I love them both!  But, there are significant differences to them.  If you've never been to either, and you're trying to decide which Coast is the right Coast for you on your first trip, I can't make that decision for you.  I can, however, outline what I like most about each of the two locations.  So, here goes... 5 . Disney MaxPass.  I absolutely love Disneyland Resort's MaxPass system!  It takes what I loved about the old paper system (getting them day of) and combines it with what I LOVE about the Magic Bands at Walt Disney World - technology.  The MaxPass system allows you to use your phone to make a same day Fast Pass, to redeem said Fast Pass, and to also get all of your PhotoPass downloads for the day you've purchased it for.   With MaxPass you can easily make your Fast Passes the moment you walk into the Park and continue to ch...

The Kingdom Keepers Series

Let's talk books for a minute.  Have you heard of the book series the Kingdom Keepers by Ridley Pearson?  Book 1 was published in 2005.  My son was only 1, and I admit I didn't learn about these books until around 2009.  At which time I devoured every book that was published at that time! There are 7 main books in the series, 2 novellas, and 3 books in a sequel trilogy called "The Return".  I have to admit life has been busy and I'm still working my way through the sequel trilogy, but not for lack of wanting to get them read! What are they?  They are young adult novels that highlight adventures of a group of teenagers that were hired to become Guide Holograms for Disney World. A "glitch" in the system allows them to see a part of Disney that no one else can!  And what happens from there is a series of books that takes them on a journey from Park to Park! What I love most about these books was re-living the Parks through reading the books.  A...

"To All That Come To This Happy Place, Welcome!"

Don't you love that quote by Walt Disney "To all that come to this Happy Place, Welcome!".  What a beautiful way of welcoming people to Disneyland - or to my little corner of the web world!  My name is Jlynn and I love to talk to others about #allthingDisney!  Whether that's the recent thing you saw on Disney+, your recent trip to one of the Parks, an upcoming Disney Cruise, or simply a fun Disney craft you made! I've always enjoyed sprinkling a little Disney Magic into my family's life over the years.  Now let me sprinkle a little Disney Magic into yours. I am a Magical Agent with Magical Vacations LLC .  I have been blessed to be able to take my LOVE of all things Disney and use it to help YOU find your own love of Disney.  Not only Disney, but Universal as well.  In 2016 my kids convinced me to add Universal onto a trip to Orlando.  I hadn't expected to enjoy it quite as much as I did, but we all absolutely loved it!  Each of the...
